1. Turn on IMAP access in Google Workspace. The steps below will not work correctly until IMAP has been enabled in the account. (turned on by default)
2. Close Apple Mail.
3. Open your Mac's System Preferences.
4. Click Internet Accounts.
5. Click Google.
6. Follow the prompts to add your Google Workspace account. You will need your email address and the associated password.
7. Close the Internet Accounts dialog box.
8. Open Apple Mail.
9. Test for sending/receiving/syncing.
